Mind Your Mom!

Every May when we sit down to write this newsletter, we inevitably write about Mother’s Day. And why not! It is a very special day for the first woman in all of our lives.

If we all think hard enough, we can probably each come up with a handful of our own mother’s favorite sayings while we were growing up – “Treat others how you want to be treated”; “A penny saved is a penny earned”; “Don’t punch your brother so hard”.

Time reveals that many, if not all, of our mom’s favorite sayings turned out to be very wise in hindsight. It is easy to see why we carve out a special day each year to acknowledge mothers. So here’s to all the moms – Happy Mother’s Day!!

Fortunately for us, we are very blessed to have the two matriarchs of our families still with us, at the ripe old ages of 82 and 93! Each year that passes that we get to spend with them, we feel very lucky. We know, though, that many of our friends and clients are not as lucky. We wanted to take a moment to remember the mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, and any other special mothers in our lives who are no longer with us. May their memory live on in our hearts and minds forever!

Are you thinking of selling/buying to move closer to Mom? Or maybe, further away? Either way, we can help! With our Buyer Satisfaction Guarantee: Love The Home, Or We’ll Buy It Back and our Seller Guarantee: Your Home Sold, or We’ll Buy It, we make it super easy and very low risk to sell and/or buy a home! Just give us a call today and we can explain the details…and then just start packing!

We are on a mission to raise $10,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project®. We do this by donating a portion of our income from homes we sell to them! As you know Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) serves veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound, incidental to their military service on or after September 11, 2001 and their families. On that date, America watched in horror as approximately 3,000 people died including hundreds of firefighters and rescue workers. Many warriors note a sense of duty to volunteer for the military following these tragic events.

Who do you know considering buying or selling a home you could refer to our real estate sales team?

Not only will they benefit from our award winning service, but we donate a portion of our income on every home sale to the Wounded Warrior Project.

We want to make it easy to refer your friends, neighbors, associates or family members considering making a move, so here are your options:

  1. You can pass along our business card to them, we have enclosed a couple here for that purpose.
  2. You can go to http://www.BlakeTeamReferrals.com and enter their contact info online or forward the link to who you know considering a move.
  3. Of course you can always call us direct as well at 718-608-4892.

You and your referrals mean more than ever to our team. As we move forward in this new season, please know we are extremely thankful for you and you being a special part of our business.

Thank you in advance for the referrals.

With all our appreciation,

Hal Blake

Why We Support The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP)

When we decided to create this program, it did not take us very long to agree on a charity to support. We have a very close family member who bravely fought on the front lines of World War II and was seriously injured; and more recently a close lifelong friend who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. So this was natural for our organization. This belief was only strengthened when we started to read more about their mission and how they serve their members. WWP serves veterans & service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound incidental to their military service. And with major advancements in battlefield medicine and body armor, more and more service members are surviving severe injuries. In addition to physical wounds, it is estimated as many as 400,000 service members live with the invisible wounds of war including combat related stress, major depression, and PTSD.

Our team rallies around our annual goal of raising money & donating portions of our income to helping this worthy cause. We are committed to providing outstanding results for both buyers & sellers referred to us by our past clients, friends, and others. Since WWP survives on sponsorships & donations from grateful civilians, we are happy to contribute and proud to support the brave men and women who literally put their lives on the line for our freedom.
